Golf more popular Tunisia

Golf is becoming more and more popular in Tunisia which has no fewer than ten international standard golf courses. Some of the best courses are found at Port El Kantaoui, Carthage, Hammamet and Monastir, all of which are perfect for a winter sun holiday combination of beach resort life and first-class golfing. Many of the resort hotels will arrange transport and book pre-set tee times for their guests.

Eating out in Tunisia offers great value for money as Tunisia is not in the Euro-zone; hence your dinar stretches a long way! Alcohol is widely available; Tunisia even produces its own wine! Most of the hotels serve International cuisine so if you are after some traditional food you will need to visit the local restaurants and cafes. Couscous is regarded as the national dish and is served with lots of vegetables and spices and topped with lamb, fish or chicken.

 

The weather in Tunisia is very similar to that of Southern Spain. The temperature along the coastal region reaches 30-35C during the summer but be aware that the temperature in the desert falls dramatically at night all through the year. Tunisia is very busy and accommodation more expensive in July and August with May and June being less expensive.
